The famous Vairamudi Utsav was held amid chanting of Vedas at the Cheluvanarayana Swamy temple in Melukote in Mandya district on Monday. Lakhs of devotees from the State and the neighbouring states of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu converged at the temple for a glimpse of the deityThe Vairamudi Utsav, which began at 8:30 in the night stretched on till the early hours of Tuesday.
