This is my first attempt at recording the sound of my Flextone aka Flattone at bedroom level volume. The Line 6 has terrible tone but with a Peavey TG Raxx running clean thru the effects loop, I get what I think is a very good tone. It is bassy but that is the best I could expect recording from a digital camera mic. The amp setting is Mesa Boogie Rectifier.

Jun 23, 2008 - I set up the TG Raxx as clean as possible because I do not want its overdrive/distortion conflicting with the overdrives/distortions in the Flextone. Gets may out of control. I hook the RAXX thru the effects loop on the Line 6. OUT of the TG into the RETURN on the Line 6 and SEND from the Line 6 to IN on the RAXX. You can do this with any amp that has an effects loop and yes I have plugged in directly into the front of an amp and got good results with many other amps too. Hope this helps!
