Jul 8, 2008 - prefiero a maurino es mucho mas solido

Jul 13, 2008 - i prefer maurino's unsu and i love his yoko geri on the end of the kata i did the same on my national championship's final

enchantez Says:

Jul 14, 2008 - Its two different arts and it's like comparing apples and oranges. You don't want to get close to Fugazza when he does kata because if by mistake you get hit by one of his techniques you may die. If you do that with Maurino, he will probably fall down.

sroedner Says:

Jul 14, 2008 - I think this is a wonderful comment!

shureikan Says:

chevytruckjoe Says:

Jul 17, 2008 - I prefer Fugazza, His kata just looked more dangerous, when I watch a kata I wanna go "woah that dudes bad" and not "woah that guy looked pretty"

karatefella Says:

Jul 19, 2008 - What Yoko Geri ??Where ??

karatefella Says:

Jul 19, 2008 - I prefer Fugazza's Unsu.Maurino's is too "Theatrical". It's like he's auditioning for a movie or something.It's also too long a performance.Fugazza's is just right.

victorperez84 Says:

enchantez Says:

Jul 21, 2008 - If a top dancer or gymnast (with no knowledge of karate) studied Maurino's youtube's unsu, and practiced it with a karate teacher for a week, they could do it as well as Maurino, maybe better. To do unsu like Fugazza the dancer or gymnast could practice diligently for a lifetime and never quite get it. You'd have to be Fugazza to do it like Fugazza.

victorperez84 Says:

Jul 21, 2008 - enchantez you can't compare a top dancer with M°Maurino...it's an insult...in fijlkam competition you can apply some changing as yoko tobi geri in the Unsu or kanku sho!! probabily you practice traditional shotokan, but you can't compare a dancer to M°Maurino...because a lot of traditional shotokan agonists, in WKF competition, had lose against M°Maurino or M° Valdesi!!! you have to rispect all the champions and all the karatekas...rimember this!!

enchantez Says:

Jul 21, 2008 - Apologies if it came out as disrespectful. I have the highest regard for all hard-working artists, athletes and champions of all sports. Maurino's and Valdesi's beautiful and precise movements are admirable and can only be done by extremely physically talented people. Is it budo? Is it karate? You seem to think it is. If others may have a different opinion, they should have the right to.

andrewcro Says:

Jul 22, 2008 - in the end of the kata, on the jump maurino performed a tobi yoko geri

victorperez84 Says:

karatefella Says:

Jul 24, 2008 - Oh yes - I see it now !One question - WHY ??It was NEVER there in the first place, so why put one in ?Just showing off maybe ?

enchantez Says:

Jul 24, 2008 - Maurino's jumping sidekick is elegant and VERY difficult to do. Am sure he practiced a lot, but a top athlete from another sport -- jumping or even soccer -- can be taught to do that fairly quickly. From his body dynamics, I feel that if he actually tries to kick someone with that kick, and that person moves forward Maurino will fall and maybe hurt himself.

andrewcro Says:

Jul 24, 2008 - well i also did it in my final of my national championship normally its a hidari ushiro geri but some guys do a tobi yoko geri sinceit would be stupid to kick with the left leg get it back and then pull it to fall good so ...

kartella Says:

victoriuchiha Says:

Aug 19, 2008 - I think that the first one was doing the kata very fast, what can be bad sometimes.
