The 'poor me' syndrom of so many Arab Muslim does not truly get much sympathy in the west - never did. Sep 15, 2008 - Incidentally, Iran did not persecute its Jews in 1948 (at least not nearly to the extent of the Arab nations). This is why there are still a sizable amount of Jews left there. It wasnt until the Ayatola took over in 1979 that Iran began to persecute its Jews in earnest.
