Born in 1962 in Morayshire, where his father was director of music at Gordonstoun, Michael Criswell entered New College School as a chorister in 1970. During his time at the school he went on three overseas recital tours with New College Choir -- twice to America and once to Bonn. He was appointed Head Chorister in January 1975, and left the school in December of that year. His family now lives in Edinburgh, where he is at George Watson's College. Michael continues his musical interest by studying the violin and piano and he also enjoys camping, cycling, shooting, skating, and rock-climbing. Although continuing music with violin and piano he studied medicine in 1979 and now lives in Central London were he is a doctor in Private General Practice.'Harke, harke, the Larke', traditional song
