Jul 3, 2008 - Allen, I appreciate your knowledge and how you are willing to share it.

Jul 3, 2008 - Vista needs a lot of memory to run smoothly. If the average person goes to best buy or something they probably bought a computer with not much memory. This is a cheap fix for those people.

Jul 3, 2008 - Guilty as charged. I thought that if I removed my Woody Allen glasses before making a video no one would notice.

crazycatfguy Says:

Jul 3, 2008 - Although you have 2 gig of physical memory a portion of that is set aside as video memory because it is cheaper to use physical memory than dedicated faster ramdac memory. You can probably see a major increase in performance by forking out 27.99.

Jul 4, 2008 - 4 gig thumb drive... dang! My first computer only had a 20 Mb harddrive! If only everything in life had such a steady rate of improvement!

crazycatfguy Says:

Jul 4, 2008 - My first computer had 8 thousand bytes of memory and did nothing until I learned to write programs and get the program and the data to fit into 8 thousand bytes of memory. I upgraded the storage to a radio shack cassette recorder long before there were hard drives. This was in 84 or 85.

Jul 4, 2008 - I think Z is on to something. Music is the perfect way to reach the average person. When he has enough songs to do a CD he should go for it.
