Aug 2, 2008 - one word NIOCE! but if the peasents were allowed to have bladed weapons, why didnt the king?

TGreaterG Says:

Aug 2, 2008 - Glad you like it :). Peasents were forbidden to own a bladed weapon, therefore they used wooden sticks. The bo.

yi238 Says:

Aug 2, 2008 - do you know how to spin the bo so fast? and i asked why didntthe king have a bladed wweapon.

nirvana4cobain Says:

Aug 3, 2008 - the king did have a bladed weapon it says the peasants were forbidden by samurais to own bladed weapons

yi238 Says:

Aug 6, 2008 - apparently not, cause it said the kings bo BROKE. creating the nunchaku.

cocacolaismylife Says:

Aug 10, 2008 - hmm, doesnt really look japanese, looks more chinese, not that its a wrong technique, but the japanese style with the Jo is more practical, goes straight to the point, that resembles more the japanese stile of Bo fighting. not that it is a wrong technique again, just more chinese than japanese. (I know there are several styles just like different martial arts xD speaking generally)

Shudderer Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - King's bodyguard, dude. And the peasants used the bo because they weren't allowed to use the blade. But just because the bodyguard was allowed to use a bladed weapon, doesn't mean that he wouldn't use a bo.

Elricchasers Says:

Sep 1, 2008 - technically they kinda made a bit of a mistake on the facts about the bo staff, originally bo staff had decended from china which the chinese used the bo staff as a base to create the spear. this was roughly around the time when the three kingdoms were around i think. still the fact on the japanese is also true. if u hav ever watched the forbbiden kingdom ull know tht the bo staff was also used to protect the tang emperor once long time ago

Elricchasers Says:

Sep 1, 2008 - still the bo staff is actually the most easiest weapon of self defense when it comes to it and easy to use too

mrguymanjr Says:

Sep 13, 2008 - Do you know where I can see the full special/episode? Whatever it is? I can't find anything about the nunchuk in Fight Science on Youtube/Google...

Gigagecko2 Says:

Sep 16, 2008 - ya, didn't they say somewhere in this episode that "kung fu (pretty much chinese martial arts) was the grandfather of martial arts"? so i guess pretty much everything is derived from around there

255Knights Says:

Sep 17, 2008 - Grandfather of what martial arts? Chinese?

MeyerLink89 Says:

Sep 18, 2008 - yes it is devastating ive broken a long stick across some1s face..just imagine using a real bo staff prolly break his face or something
