Spent Saturday afternoon on Mt. Rokko in Kobe. Took a cable car to a part of the mountain I've never been before. Hotels, resorts, onsens and loads of flowers are what can be found on the top. We checked out a botanical garden that was very "un-Japanese." Everything was done up to "look and feel" like it was the Swiss Alps. There was a lot of "cheese", pardon the pun, but overall, it was a strange yet cool experience. Another interesting afternoon in Japan.Music: Reel Big Fish - She's got a girlfriendStereophonics - DakotaMayu - Something you wantIf you liked the vid, rate/comment and of course, SUBSCRIBE!

May 17, 2008 - Glad you enjoyed everything here. Hope the transition back to life in Australia is a smooth one. I remember it was a strange thing for me to move back to Canada after 5 years in Korea.

May 17, 2008 - Dunno. Apparently the Swiss Alps have come to Japan for a brief visit. Must be a friendship gesture between governments! The Swiss loan Japan the Alps for the spring and Japan loans them huge stacks of manga and some Sumo wrestler!

May 18, 2008 - I've been up the cablecar several times, but have been to the botanical gardens only once, many years ago. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.Seems like you had a nice time outside. Enjoy it now, as the summer's here in the kansai are very humid.

May 19, 2008 - Actually...wan't a problem. I thought it was going to be one of those ski-lift/gondola jobbies.....I'm a chicken-shit when it comes to those things!!!
Niiickoh Says:
May 19, 2008 - Oh! Gotcha. :P I can see where they might be a tad scarier than the cable car, feet dangling and all! XD
