In this day and age, avionics are important for the fighter jets and even russia is behind the west. What makes India's suMKIs formidable is , it has got european and western avionics. Neither pakistan nor china can attain that level of perfection. India will always hold the edge. without the latest radar and missiles, I would call J10 as 3.5 generation jet !!

Jun 4, 2008 - AESA is best-est of Radar Available it requires less operating voltage @40 to 60 volts PESA goes from 600V to few KV it mean PESA will require bulky circuitry. AESA is a solid state Radar so its compact an light. PESA has things similar to valves so its bulky and heavy. Major difference is AESA is a complex,light, accurate Radar and PESA is Bluky, simple Radar

IAF is not the kind of air force which puts the burden on god and face the enemy. IAF knows god helps people who help themselves !!

Jun 6, 2008 - In Kargil war Mig 29s locked on to F 16 so many times within India that those monkeys at PAF did not dare to engaged Mig 29.... So much so that most of the PAF was grounded and the IAF conviently destroyed bunkers and singers at Kargil without any nuisance from PAF....... This shows the true nature of IAF.... UAF learn the same thing from IAF...

Jun 15, 2008 - SU30MKI with other MKI's work together as mini awacs. no american tech has this capability yet. americans have to use big target 737, 747, and airbus aircraft for these purposes. i m telling its a big target for MKI's to spot from far far away. from 150 miles mki detects this biiiiig target and there r-77 released now american fighters are without awacs. cheeeers

Aug 17, 2008 - Its good to see USAF RAF n IAF the 3 biggest upholders of democracy carrying out joint training and competition.Jewish brothers in Israel also hav a good airforce, I watched it in action during Lebanon war, half of lebanon was flat, no power no electricity absolute black out, in the midst they hunted the Hezbollah down, perhaps while IAF is teaching rest of the world on airforce.. they shud also learn from actions of Israel on how to react with situations.
