Something a bit different from me today. I have just got a new toy, a Line 6 Delay pedal, which has caused me to neglect my piano for a little while. The pedal is amazing for layering different parts on top of each other, and everything here I played live, adding in little bits into the loop here and there, putting it in a loop and then improvising over the top. No overdubs or clever editing here, just me with my fretless bass and delay box (if you watch closely you can see when I am stomping on the pedal). This is a tribute to Eberhard Weber, one of the greatest bass players in the world. He had a stroke last year and I don't know if he's playing again yet. I hope so.He used to play quite a few solo bass gigs, and I know it sounds dull but he really made it interesting from start to finish. On one tour he did I literally followed him round from city to city, probably in the hope that his magic would rub off on me.Bass sound could be improved here probably, but I just plugged it straight in the computer. Level is a little low as well, sorry.

Nov 18, 2008 - Great albums. The last one I played at least a hundered times. Some call his music typical european jazzsound. What do you think ?

patx29 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - I wouldnt know if it were european sounding or not I do know its the ECM lable style,Iv thought some of Eberhards music sounds trippy.
