Nov 19, 2008 - WelcomeToCarnate: I can name at least 1 primate species known to occasionally drink blood without eating any other part of the kill - Homo Sapiens. Who says there aren't more species out there that occasionally engage in this? That's not to say that those species would live in rural texas (although captive animals do occasionally escape), but the possibility is certainly there and is more reasonable than assuming extraterrestrial or cryptid origin.

Nov 19, 2008 - man theres a thing on yahoo that is an actual video of one running from a police car.
WelcomeToCarnate Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Some humans may be deranged, but I don't believe it's even physically possible to drink large amounts of blood and keep it down. Your body would reject it and would force you to throw up. There are special cases of certain animals only eating one part of a kill and leaving the rest(baboons in Africa only eating brains, etc...), but an entire species doing so is a bit farfetched. But, if there are only two or three members of that species, then yes, I'd be inclined to agree with you.
epicgrooves Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - I agree with you, there aren't any known species or behaviors to base this on. A *single* probably wouldn't even have the stomach capacity to drink all the blood from the larger animals that a "chupacabra" kills, or ability to keep it down. That being said, there is no known species larger than a vampire bat (about 8 inches) that actually is sanguivorous, so I still think best option would be to assume the largest creature that occasionally drinks blood: humans. Satanic cult or something.

Nov 19, 2008 - i'd say that chupabra is still i doubt it that they don't live no more how can't they live no more if no one or"barley" seen them heard them in there farm or probaly they just gun shot them while it was on there farm and they just keep there mouth shot.wonder if some bbq them. they drink bloods and i study the hole from some parts from the chupabra bites from the goat weird big bites that i believe so i don't think a chupabra made a big bite on some of the goats, will who knows.~vid0wnz

Nov 19, 2008 - thats what the common theory is for the puerto rico cabra. but the texan one looks like just some mutant dog, so if cabras exist its prolly the texan one

Nov 19, 2008 - if you find a chupacabra like to a picture of it or kill it like that guy did do you get a reward like some money?
ConsideratePerson Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - that chupacabra looked like the creature this police officer video taped back a few weeks ago.

Nov 19, 2008 - Hate to tell you this, but it turned out to be a coyote with a bad case of mange. At least the one with Phylis was.
jnibert Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - I know, and that's what I expected. I'm not disappointed, either; I don't believe 'el Chupacabra' is what every fringe cryptozoologist cracks it up to be. It's some sort of sick canid, that's all, or something similar.
Irond3vil2 Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - hair from a chupacabra? isn't it supposed to be hairless??
