Jul 23, 2008 - ALthough im a deputy in training, my county 90% of skateboarders cause the crime, and if you paid attention to the beginning, they were riding the skateboards(which was prohibited in that zone) and the cop told him to stop, but the kids were being smart with him. i do agree that the cop should not have acted with much force, but the kids should not have been smart with the cop. And think, if dont stop the skateboarders from doing stuff illegal now, i wonder what they will be like in 15 years?

I've been in a situation before when I complied 100% with a cop and he was being a sarcastic prick hoping i'd get mad so he could arrest me during a minor traffic stop. I know there are some good cops out there but there's a lot of Officer Rivieri's out there too and that's why so many people dislike cops.

I do agree officer rivieri was out of line, but these skateboarders had something to do with it to set him off. Ive made several confrontations with suspects, and my 1st day, i was nice to one of my complaintants, and she came out swinging with a frying pan, so that is why i think cops need to take precautions as well as you do. i missed the frying pan by 10 inches, i believe there is always another side to the story.
