My favorite tapping lick. I have several variations of this lick that all sound different. The idea is the same as the end of the intro to van halens hot for teacher. Just different fingerings and cadence.Guitar is my trusty Washburn Idol WI 64. Running through a Marshall JMP1 Preamp. In the JMP's effects loop the G-Force and (2) Boss GEQ7's in stereo. Then out of the Marshall into a Tube Works 1160 stereo power amp to (2) 2X12 mutt cabs. I am also bootsing the front-end with a TC Electronic Tube Factor Distortion pedal.

Jul 28, 2008 - yes...i do several variations on this tap lick. i have one where i repeat the same pattern but move it up 1 fret at a time until i run out of room. i dont think i have it on vid...i'll have to do one and post it.
