29th September 2001 - The Arena Of Stars, Genting Highland played host to one of Malaysia's most prestigious awards show, the "Anugerah Era 2001". As the artistes walked into the Arena Of Stars, fans greeted them in anticipation and excitement as their idols walked passed them. The night started off with a blast as the stage was beautifully lit up with colourful neon lights. As the celebrated "Anugerah Era 2001" started, the crowd was greeted by an animated robot named "AE 01" and renowned local artiste Too Phat were the first to perform on this auspicious occasion. Other local artistes who performed include Ferhad, Fredo, Juliana Banos, Syura, Siti Nordiana Def-Gab-C, Siti Nurhaliza, Rabbani, Dayang Nurfaizah, Kris Dayanti and a special invited guest from Lebanon, Pascale Machaalani.Artistes that announced and presented the awards to winners include Senario, Erra Fazira, Tyco, Amy Mastura, Noraniza Idris, Abby Abadi, Elly Mazlein, Jalaluddin Hassan, Raja Azura, Wardina, Fauziah Latiff, Arman (Gigi), and many others.All winners on this list were chosen by radio listeners of ERA FM. This also happen to be the only awards show in Malaysia where radio listeners choose the winner. All in all, everyone had a good time at this prestigious awards show.
