Jul 29, 2008 - for those of you who think someone is supposed to say hi judy her name in the movie is esther so they wouldn't be saying hi judy anyway. when you hear a man say hi johnny he is talking to johnny the boy she is waiting for which means he is getting closer to where she is they didn't make a mistake and call her johnny just thought i'd clear it up for you

Aug 11, 2008 - I always thought when Esther was singing this song and talking about him wearing a 'bright green tie etc.' she was referring to another time. Like maybe the first time she met him, or something? She did say "clang went the trolley" and "he tipped his hat." She was speaking in past tense and Johnny didn't really tip his hat when he was chasing the trolley. It's just a guess though..
