OK, so we got the exterminator and found out that the ants aren't actually as bad as they seemed. But they are dead now. Orkin quoted me 1000.00 EcoPest quoted me 3500.00 and Interior Pest Control in Prince George did it for 420.00 including tax. It is guaranteed for a year and it they are dead! Apparently it will kill the spiders too! YAHOOO!
